hello everyone !!! after living in ORIENTAL NC on my sailboat and kayaking on smith/greene creeks and the ICW marker #180,between oriental to cherry point marine base that is a 25 mile one-way .hope to paddle here on the Haw river,jordan lake and the graham-mebane lake .more to follow

HELLO agin!!!from sunny nc.Afew adventueous souls ,decided to "sally-forth",once agin ,to see whats new on the HAW river.WELL just let me say this;NOT A DARN THING,unless you count that the river is 5 1/2"down from the normal.we still paddled from the [put-in]at the town of;sweptsonville,and paddled "up ALAMANCE creek to hwy87sbridge,turned arround ,then paddled to the [non-generating DAM]approx 1500yds,turned arround and returned to the put-in,and left!!!it was a great day!!!!!fun was had by all.later gumby/zenkayaker&solo-canoest

HEY EVERYONE !!!!I have just come home[wkend6/1-3]from cedarpoint campgrounds,where "we"my girlfriend,and the kayaking club ,that we belong to!!!!it was great paddling arround the "shacklford banks and on the ICW[inter coastal waterway].Eating the seafood rich food ,gave us "extra-energy",for paddling and "shopping".I hope everyone had a GREAT holiday!!!!catch ya later gumby/zenkayaker&solo-canoest
